This tutorial was written in PSPX2 (but should work in other versions), for those with a working knowledge of PSP
Supplies
Tubes of choice, I have used the art of Suzanne Woolcott, you can purchase her tubes here AMI
You must not use her work unless you have a license
Scrapkit of choice, I used a fabulous FTU kit called 'Genealogy' by Scrap Team Photo Filter, you can download this kit Here
Font I have used is 2peas Ragtag, I'm sorry but I cannot supply this
Mask Here I am unsure where I got this, if it is your please let me know and I will either take it down or give credit
Filter used - Eyecandy 4000, Gradient Glow
This is a quick and easy one
Let's begin
Open your supplies and tubes in PSP
Open a new image 550x550, flood fill white
Open a paper of choice from your kit, if you have used the same kit I have you will need to resize the paper to 550x550 pixels, copy and paste as a new layer
If you are using the mask supplied, you can either save it to your mask folder, and use the following settings -
Layers, load mask layer, load mask from disk, invert unchecked and hit ok
Or open the mask in PSP, same settings as above
Layers, merge, merge group
Copy and paste the tree from the kit, resize and position to your liking, add a dropshadow of choice
with your magic wand, select inside each frame in the tree, selections, modify, expand by 10
Copy and paste your paper of choice as a new layer, selections, invert and hit delete, drag this layer below the tree layer
Using your magic wand again, select inside one of the frames in the tree, selections, modify, expand by 10
Resize your tube of choice to fit the face inside the frame, copy and paste your tube as a new layer, and position over your selection
Go to selections, invert, and hit delete on your tube layer, then drag this below your tree layer, give a dropshadow of choice
Repeat the above steps until each frame on the tree is filled with your tubes
Now add your main two tubes and resize/position to your liking, dropshadow of choice to these as well
Select your preset shapes tool again, and using your ellipse shape, draw out a circle slightly larger than the tree
I then played with it a bit to make it more of an oval shape
Do not convert to raster
Now we will add your phrase, I chose - 'Our Gorjuss Family Tree'
Select your text tool
colour I used was #75963b
Hover over your preset shape until you get the A with the half circle come up and left click your mouse
Now write your saying and position to centre above tree, you may have to play with this a bit until you are happy with the size/ position etc,
then click ok
Do not convert to raster, on your layers pallete, select the '+' on your text layer, you will now see your ellipse layer separate to the text
'x' out the ellipse layer and convert your text to a raster layer, I then gave a gradient glow with these settings - 5,25,100
Colour I used was #800000
Add your name, copyright and watermark, save a jpeg and your done
Thank you for trying my tutorial and I hope you enjoyed it
